If last year was lackluster for individual character likes, this year is a drought. (Though that doesn’t mean the shows this year are lackluster.)
Most Hated/Annoying Character/s
1. Shana’s rival for Yuuji (Shakugan no Shana Final) – The moment this girl popped up I lost any inclination towards watching Shakugan no Shana again. And I cannot be bothered to remember her name…
Favorite Male Characters
Hmmm…looks like this year was not a good year for male characters…
Favorite Female Characters
1. Chihaya (Chihaya Furu) – A beauty unaware of her beauty.
2. Rin (Usagi Drop) – Cute!
Cutest Characters
1. Nyanpire (Nyanpire)/ Nyanko-sensei (Natsume Yuujincho 3) – Cats! They’re always cute XD
Favorite OP
1. Hana no Iro (Hanasaku Iroha) – The high-pitched voice just fittingly reminds me of the main character, Hana.
2. SWEET DROPS (Usagi Drop) – I feel like swaying my head whenever I hear this song. =P
3. Cras numquam scire (Dantalian no Shoka) – I thought the anime was really good because of this OP. Unfortunately the anime was not up to my expectations.
4. Once (Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi) – For the first time, a song that caught my attention even though I didn’t watch the anime.
Favorite ED
1. High High High (Usagi Drop) – What?? Another song from Usagi Drop?? Hehehe.
2. For You (Hourou Musuko) – Another ED from another good show.
3. Magia (Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica) – Surprisingly I cannot find a good animated video on youtube. Or am I not looking hard enough?

Did you mean “Cute Proxy’s 2011 Favorites in the title?
Good male characters are becoming a rarity in this modern era of anime. Male leads are like their porn counterparts: they are either a prop or used as a soulless proxy for male viewers.
I can get behind the Usagi Drop love you are dispensing in this post. It was also one of my favorites of 2011.
And speaking of cats…

Happy Holidays!
Yes I meant 2011…That’s what I get for copy-pasting lol
re: male characters
Nobody really stands out this year…Daikichi could be one good guy, but he’s not that cute
Daikichi was (barely) bishounen in the live action Usagi Drop movie. They tried to make the actor who played Daikichi look a little less “fabulous” but he is Kenichi Matsuyama (the same guy who did L in Death Note).
I can easily think of three outstanding male characters this year.
Daikichi (Usagi Drop)
Okabe (Steins;Gate) – my vote for #1
Kotetsu (Tiger and Bunny)
Unfortunately I dropped Steins;Gate, and didn’t bother with Tiger and Bunny after the 1 ep or 2.
