Happy New Year everyone!
I found making this list quite difficult…The top five was easy, but listing the rest was quite a recall exercise lol. There were shows I thought didn’t belong in 2006 but did–so I had to do some research. This is my punishment for watching too many shows. I also didn’t bother to look up my ratings on the shows I wrote a review on, as I didn’t give some shows ratings. Another thing is that I decided to include the good shows but still haven’t finished. They are just inserted where they might have been ranked had they ended. As for my unfinished backlog they’ll just get inserted whenever I finish them. Now on to the list.

Kyou remembers about the promise she made with her mother when the latter was pregnant with Asu. Their father was still with them then. Then Asu wakes her up, it was a dream after all, and she’s sick. However, Kyou still insists on doing newspaper deliveries. But her body is really not up to it after all.

This post is late since I had to ‘recover’ from the 10+ hours of overtime in two days. And then I have to blog about this episode, which seems to be the worst one.
So, what’s bugging the sisters in this episode? It revolves around them getting their first cellphones. This is such a superficial problem, but what the hell am I complaining for this show never was that good from the beginning.
So I stopped watching halfway, but looked at the preview for next episode. It looks interesting and dramatic enough, but I hope it’s not like this episode.

The skies are dark, I’m not doing overtime today, so ’tis a great day for blogging! Now on to BSM proper.
Our slice of life problem for today is: Asou can’t sing! Or rather, her rendition of songs leaves much to be desired. The pressure is on her, since her classmates think she can do anything, they also expect her to be good at singing. So our little achiever feels stressed, and what should she do?

I’ll make this summary really short. Just one paragraph.
Our little Asou makes a heart-shaped chocolate for Kyou. However she gets tired of waiting for Kyou to come home and so goes out to find Kyou. However she witnesses her sister giving chocolates with a letter inside to a boy. She doesn’t like it, and doesn’t give Kyou her choco-heart, and hides it. The next day she sees our boy and decides to follow him. She finds out he is a nice and helpful boy (scout). At home Kyou finds the choco-heart and asks Asou about it. Then to add more drama, Asou tells Kyou she doesn’t need chocolates from her (Asou). More blah3x and our little tyke goes out to go on some soul-searching or er, just runs away really. But she sees boy scout on a date with another girl, and when her sister finds her makes an excuse about a sale so that Kyou wouldn’t see the two dating. However, since this is a slice of life drama, of course they all meet at the store. But it turns out that Kyou only acted as a messenger for the other girl. Duh. And I really thought this episode was interesting from the preview…

My favorite Asou rival reappears!
The mansion that was put up actually belongs to the family of Ginko. Now the first scene is of Ginko on the rooftop of their super big house, and thinking about how her sister must hate a failure like her.

Finally, somebody released a raw and I’m finally able to once again destroy my ears little by little through listening at a high volume. But this episode is probably the best by far, in that there is actually less of the petals galore. I did notice one, and it was a useless effect at that.

Did another round of overtime today. On a Sunday at that!! And so my brain is in ranting mode!
And that means, I do not have the energy right now to blog about Honey and Clover and Binbou Shimai Monogatari. These are two slice of life shows, and looks like my real life situation right now revolves around W-O-R-K. Mayama’s off to Spain, Yamada has Nomiya. But me? I’m stuck in the office poring through lines of code most of which are as undecipherable like Kanji. The poor sisters’ worries are much simpler than mine though, but I’m not up for another round of petals galore. Another factor is that yeah, I can’t seem to find raws. Searching all corners(?) of the Internet seems like a waste of time, but Doremi’s there to save the day anyway, so why bother?
It seems that now, not only do I have a backlog of anime, I also have a backlog of posts. But the only thing I can think of now is a ranting, directionless post. Maybe I need a vacation. From work. But, that seems impossible right now. So people, whenever you complain that software is expensive, think about the people who made the code. If it’s buggy, the programmer is probably an asshole. Go bash the program in an appriopriate forum. If you think you’re making Bill Gates get richer, take solace in the fact the man has a foundation. Not all of your money goes to his pockets, a consuelo de bobo (fool’s consolation). Now what the hell am I saying…
Here’s another consolation. If you liked Raruto, there’s a music video about it out now. If you wanted to see them animated, go to the site here. But I’m warning you, only Gaara seems to be the funny one there. Now I demand that Gran Bola de Fuego should be animated next time around!!

So basically the focus here is on the poor sisters’ lack of parental guidance lol. Asu throws away the invitation(?) for this school activity where the students read a piece and then their parents watch. Kyou sees this paper and worries about what to wear when she attends this activity.
The next day, Kyou sees a wallet in the compound where they live. I don’t know why, but the sisters really never bothered to peek inside and search for an identification card. They got carried away by the sight of money, and evil thoughts of eating a cake and other delicious food to buying a dress for Kyou to wear at the reading activity came to the poor sisters.
