2010 will be over in a few days, so it’s time for that year-end exercise: the year-end rankings of the shows that I watched. I’m quite early from my usual schedule. Whew! Now what else to do on New Year’s Eve? 😀
Bokurano * Wellber no Monogatari ~Sisters of Wellber~ * Romeo x Juliet * Seirei no Moribito * Murder Princess
Happy New Year everyone!
I found making this list quite difficult…The top five was easy, but listing the rest was quite a recall exercise lol. There were shows I thought didn’t belong in 2006 but did–so I had to do some research. This is my punishment for watching too many shows. I also didn’t bother to look up my ratings on the shows I wrote a review on, as I didn’t give some shows ratings. Another thing is that I decided to include the good shows but still haven’t finished. They are just inserted where they might have been ranked had they ended. As for my unfinished backlog they’ll just get inserted whenever I finish them. Now on to the list.
Well, my internet connection has improved but it’s still only 25-50% from it’s original speed. So I’ll post this first part of a rankings post for the year 2006.
Last night I was wondering what to choose between Honey & Clover II and Kannazuki no Miko for my next rewatch. Then I remembered School Rumble, and I thought, well, I certainly need something to smile about.
In retrospect, the first half of SR (season 1) episode 1 never really gave a hint about how wacky it would become later on. I haven’t really watched that much comedy anime with a high school setting at that time (and even now), so I guess I can’t really judge whether it was unique or not. Back then I also knew very few Japanese words, and I thought that Tenma was the younger sister because she was so immature. (That also meant I wasn’t that attentive to the details. But I’m usually like that anyway.)
While I’m not yet sleepy, I guess I’ll put this out. Ok, (how many times have I said this) 3rd to the last rankings post for 2006? Counting…
Sometimes some shows need to be watched at a certain time of day. Of course these are my own preferences, but somebody might be doing the same, perhaps?
