I was browsing the BBC news website and I came across this article about the stolen Munch paintings. My dull brain became active and I was saying to myself, hey this looks familiar. And then I realized that Hagu did an impression of this painting before in Honey and Clover II episode 4.
The painting above is called The Scream. Now look at Hagu’s impression:
No wonder she looked like a painting. If I’d been more observant of the picture at Wikipedia, I should have noticed it way back then.
It sucks to have only average powers of observation…
Heh, you see this more often in anime. It’s a really popular metaphore (for example, Pedro in Excel Saga, when he finds out his wife cheated on him). 😉
Its also in GTO during i think the very first episode.
Anyway, its a pretty famous piece of art, you should know it! lol
I haven’t seen GTO or Excel Saga yet. And if not for Honey and Clover, I wouldn’t even give a damn about Munch. But The Scream is awesome though.
